Frequently Asked Questions

Everything people ask us before they subscribe — what IPTV is, which devices work, what it costs and how to set it up.

What is IPTV and how does Kastvio work?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) delivers television over an internet connection instead of a cable or satellite line. Kastvio converts TV signals into digital data packets and streams them to your devices over our servers.

When you subscribe you receive private login credentials. Install any supported IPTV player app, enter your details, and you have immediate access to the full channel line-up and on-demand library. Because everything travels over the internet, you can watch on a TV at home, a laptop at work or a phone on the move — no engineer visit, no set-top box rental, no contract tying you to one address.

How does Kastvio streaming work?

Connect your device, sign in to your account and you have instant access to 25,000+ live channels and 120,000+ on-demand titles in crystal-clear quality.

Our streams run through distributed servers with automatic failover, so if one route slows down your player switches to another without you noticing. We also support adaptive bitrate streaming, which adjusts picture quality in real time to match your connection speed. That is what keeps playback smooth during peak evening hours and big live events, when most services start to stutter.

Which devices does Kastvio support?

Smart TVs, Android and iOS phones and tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Android boxes, Apple TV, MAG and Formuler boxes, and Windows or Mac computers.

For smart TVs we work with Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV and Hisense VIDAA. On Android you can use players such as TiviMate, IBO Player, IMPlayer or GSE Smart IPTV; on iOS, GSE Smart IPTV and similar apps. Streaming boxes including Fire TV, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and Apple TV 4K are all supported, and computer users can stream through VLC or a dedicated desktop player.

How many devices can I use at once?

That depends on the plan you choose. Kastvio plans run from 1 to 4 simultaneous devices on a single account.

Every device shares the same login, so there is nothing extra to buy or register. A four-device plan lets different people in the household watch different channels at the same time — the match in the living room, a film in the bedroom, cartoons on a tablet. You can change which devices you use whenever you like; only the number streaming at the same moment counts toward your limit.

Can I get a free trial?

Yes. We offer a free trial so you can test the service before you pay for anything.

The trial gives you real access, not a cut-down demo: the same channels, the same on-demand library, the same servers. Use it to check stream quality on your own internet connection, try your preferred player app, and see how the service behaves on the devices you actually own. Request your trial from the Free Trial page and we will send your login details by email.

How much does IPTV cost compared to cable?

Kastvio starts at $19 for one month and works out far cheaper per month on a longer plan, against cable packages that commonly run well over $80 a month.

There are no equipment rentals, no installation charges and no cancellation fees. A basic cable package limits you to a set channel list and one or two rooms; your Kastvio subscription includes the full line-up, the on-demand library and multi-device streaming from the start. The 6 and 12-month plans bring the monthly cost down furthest, which is why most subscribers choose one of those.

How do I set it up, step by step?

Setup takes about five minutes: 1) subscribe and receive your login by email, 2) install a supported IPTV player on your device, 3) enter the server details and credentials we send you, 4) start watching.

On Fire TV or Android TV, install your player from the store (or via the Downloader app), choose the Xtream Codes login option and enter your username and password. On a Samsung or LG smart TV, install a supported IPTV app from your TV’s store and enter the same details. On iPhone or iPad, add our playlist URL in your player app and enable the EPG. Our installation guide walks through each device with screenshots.

How fast is your customer support?

Our team typically replies within 15–30 minutes, and we answer by email and through the help centre around the clock.

Support covers everything from first-time setup and player configuration to channel issues, buffering questions and billing. If something breaks mid-match we would rather hear about it immediately than have you wait — message us and we will work through it with you step by step, including checking whether the problem is our servers, your app settings or your connection.

Why choose Kastvio?

Stable servers, a genuinely large channel and film library, support for up to four devices, and pricing that stays the same as the day you signed up.

We keep multiple redundant servers so a single point of failure never takes your stream down, and we invest in capacity ahead of big sporting events rather than after them. Subscriptions are flexible — monthly through to annual — with no long-term contract, no hidden fees and instant activation once your payment clears. If the service is not what you expected, the free trial exists precisely so you find that out before you pay.

Is IPTV legal?

IPTV as a technology is entirely legal and is used by most major telecom companies to deliver television. What determines legality is the licensing behind the content a provider carries.

Rules differ from country to country, so it is worth checking what applies where you live. Before subscribing to any IPTV provider, look for transparency about how they operate, a real support channel, secure payment methods and clear terms of service. We are not able to give you legal advice; if you have concerns specific to your situation, a qualified professional in your country is the right person to ask.

How do I choose the right subscription?

Think about three things: how many people watch at once, which content matters most to you, and how long you want to commit.

Start with device count — a household watching in two rooms needs at least a two-device plan. Then look at duration: the monthly plan is the low-commitment option, while the 6 and 12-month plans cut the effective monthly price substantially. If you are unsure, take the free trial first and test the channels you actually care about, particularly the sports or international channels that are usually the deciding factor.

Which IPTV player should I use?

Popular choices include TiviMate, IBO Player, IMPlayer and GSE Smart IPTV. Any player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists will work with Kastvio.

TiviMate is the favourite on Android and Fire TV for its channel groups and recording features. GSE Smart IPTV is the usual pick on iOS. VLC works on a computer if you want something familiar, and STB Emulator suits anyone moving over from a MAG box. Our installation guide includes recommended settings for each — buffer size in particular makes a noticeable difference on slower connections.

What sports are included?

Comprehensive coverage of the major leagues plus international competitions, with premium PPV events included at no extra charge.

Football, basketball, hockey, baseball, motorsport, combat sports and more, with home and away feeds where they exist. We run dedicated servers for live events so the load from a big fight night or final does not affect playback. On a multi-device plan you can follow several games at once across different screens, which is the reason many subscribers upgrade before the season starts.

Do I need a VPN?

A VPN is optional. The service works without one, but some people prefer to use one for privacy or to avoid ISP throttling.

Certain internet providers slow streaming traffic during busy evening hours; a VPN can keep speeds more consistent in that situation. It also keeps your viewing habits private from your ISP. The trade-off is that a poorly chosen VPN adds latency and can make streaming worse, so if you do use one, pick a fast provider and connect to a nearby server. Try Kastvio without a VPN first and add one only if you see throttling.
